Description
N-type connector is a high-power connector with threaded connection, suitable for connecting RF cables or microstrip lines in RF loops of microwave equipment and digital communication systems. Widely used in radio equipment and instruments and ground transmitting systems under vibration and harsh environmental conditions. It has the characteristics of high reliability, wide frequency range, long life, strong vibration resistance, and excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Connectors are divided into male and female connectors, and K represents male and J represents female. N-type connectors usually use stainless steel Stainless Steel or copper alloy Copper Alloys surface treatment with nickel plating, the inner conductor uses beryllium bronze CuBe gold plating Au, and the insulating medium uses polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE. The pin diameter of the inner conductor of the N-type connector male head K is 1.6mm-1.68mm. Commonly used N-type connectors include: N-50KF, N-KFK, N-JJ, N-SMA-JJ, etc.
Compared with blind mating connectors, the thread structure of N-type connectors is suitable for special applications. For example, when an extremely high level of protection is required, or when other connectors cannot cope with environmental factors such as temperature, pressure or vibration. The connector interface complies with MIL-STD-348B and GJB 5246-2004 standards.
